You got a bag!
This is the funnest part of Love, Recycle. We're swapping your plastic bags and giving you a free, donated, reusable one in return. We're taking all our donated reusable bags and giving them away for free wherever we find people who need one in hopes of reducing our community's use and dependance on plastic film bags. Especially since not all plastic bags are created equal (and not all can be tossed into your household recycle bins)​ and eventually end up in the landfill.

Feel like you didn't actually "swap" a bag? You might be mistaken. Here at Love, Recycle, we feel it is just as important to save you from buying a plastic bag (that would later need to be swapped and recycled), as it is to physically swap out your current plastic. So thank you for accepting our bags and helping our environment!

Our Reuse the Bag donation drive serves two purposes: The first, it helps increase our inventory of bags for our Bag Swaps by collecting gently used bags of all sorts. Second, it allows the students in our community to be a part of this effort. Our youth volunteers can take part of a donation event or hold their own with their school or organizations. Love, Recycle will sanitize (if necessary) and prepare the collected bags for distribution back into the community by our student volunteers. More information to come.

Fun Fact: This IS the idea that really got Love, Recycle wheels turning. What if we could just hand out reusable bags to people who don't have any as they are on their way into a store. This way we reduce the dependency on plastic bags...one bag at a time.
